Now as it stands, the empty "777" bay is currently where they are refurbishing the -200LR's, while I honestly don't know what the unused 747 bay is being used for. In addition, there are 2 basically unassigned bays. Therefore, we currently have these in operation: 2 747, 1 767, 1 777. In addition, as production on the 747 slowed, one of those bays was basically shut down. Then over time, it became the area that all the test aircraft were refurbished at. At first, it was used to static test the airframe. However, the second 777 bay was never really completed. Finally, the plant was expanded once again for the 777, adding 2 more bays, for a total of 6. The Everett plant was originally built with 3 bays for the 747 - 1 for the wings, and two final body join/final assembly bays. I understand, it can be a little confusing. Which line is this? (note the 767 in the back). As far as I know, 2 are used for the 747, 2 for the 777, 1 for the 767, and 1 for the 787.
